Pantry Staples

I keep a variety of items in my pantry at all times. Why? Well, it’s just easier because I always have something on hand that I can make for dinner or for company or just us a snack when the kids want something sweet. Notice, I said “kids”, not me. πŸ˜‰

Here is a list of items that I frequently have on hand:

Cans:

  • cans of diced tomatoes
  • cans of stewed tomatoes
  • Rotel tomatoes
  • cans of corn
  • cans of creamed corn (for cornbread)
  • black beans
  • sliced beets (for pickled eggs)
  • cream of mushroom
  • cream of chicken

Spices:

  • cayenne pepper
  • celery seed (for seasoning crockpot chicken)
  • paprika
  • bay leaves
  • chili powder
  • cumin
  • garlic
  • parsley
  • mustard
  • dill weed
  • poultry seasoning
  • salt and pepper

Baking/Cooking:

  • sugar
  • chicken broth
  • all purpose flour
  • cornmeal mix
  • baking chocolate
  • bread crumbs
  • cooking wine
  • olive oil
  • vegetable oil
  • vanilla
  • almond
  • Elbow macaroni pasta (for homemade mac & cheese, macaroni salad, etc.)
  • apple cider vinegar
  • distilled white vinegar
